Part 2
1.) Zhifeng Gao. He is a graduate professor. His specialty is in marketing and consumer behavior.

3.) I am a food and resource economics major and my adviser suggested me to schedule a meeting with him.
4.) He showed me the best way to calculate data and how he researches consumer behavior. He is an expert in consumer behavior and really knows how to point out peoples preferences.
5.) Zhifeng can help me come up with case studies so I can better understand my customers and the people I am selling to.
Part 3
1.) Charlie Rickie. Workers for a radio station in Gainesville and specializes in advertisement. Charlie broadcasts many Gainesville companies on the air

3.) I found this person through the internship I currently have. I have worked with him in the past when I want him to run an add for the business I am working for.
4.) I pitched to him my idea and explained to him how I want to help market for smaller businesses.
5.) Charles can help connect me to smaller businesses in the Gainesville area that he already has connections with. I in return can help him by helping smaller businesses run adds on the radio.
Reflection: Networking and keeping connections is important in the business world. Running ideas off others benefits both parties. I personally learn a lot by learning through other people's experience. This networking was different from what I have experienced in the past. Most of my previous business communication was to get a job not start a business.

ReplyDeleteEveryone you contacted seem to be people who could really help your idea grow into a prototype. They too see very knowledgeable in the marketing or advertising area which is what you need. I agree with it being important to run ideas off others because you will learn from them and they will learn from you! Great job making connections and networking!
